The Lake Placid Olympic Center is where more than 100 athletes from all over the world came to train for the 1980 Winter Olympics. You can buy your tickets at the Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid or at the Mount Van Hoevenberg Visitors’ Center, which is located on Route 73 just before you reach Lake Placid on the right-hand side. You can ride a 2-person bobsled down this track that winds down a mountain on an 800-meter descent or try out one of the summer sleds at the bobsled track!
